What we collect

Contact details you give us (name, business name, telephone, email, postcode and number of sites), the services you ask us to review, any bills, contracts or statements you upload, and basic information about how you reached the website. This includes details you enter into Energy Saving Guru lead forms on Facebook or Instagram, which Meta sends to us through our app "ESG OS Lead Integration".

Facebook and Instagram enquiries

If you complete one of our lead forms on Facebook or Instagram, we receive only the answers you typed into the form. We use them to respond to your enquiry and to manage any resulting quote or contract. We do not post to your account, read your messages or access any other Facebook or Instagram data. You can ask us to delete this information at any time — see our data deletion instructions.

Why we use it

To carry out the free Business Cost & Contract Review you have asked for, to contact you about that enquiry, and — only if you have separately opted in — to send you occasional updates about other business services.

Marketing consent

Marketing consent is always asked for separately from permission to reply to your enquiry. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to any message or emailing us.

Sharing

Where you ask us to obtain prices, we may share the relevant details with suppliers and providers so they can quote. We do not sell your details.

Retention and your rights

We keep enquiry details only for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry and any resulting work. Where a contract is arranged through us, we may keep some records for legal, tax, accounting or regulatory reasons, for no longer than necessary.

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. We respond to deletion requests within one month — see our data deletion instructions. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
