TPI Code of Practice
How we work as a Third Party Intermediary in the business energy market.
Placeholder wording. This page is ready for Energy Saving Guru Ltd's final approved text — no developer needed, the content lives in one file per policy. Nothing on this website should be treated as confirmation of legal compliance.
What a TPI is
A Third Party Intermediary, or TPI, is a broker or consultant that sits between a business and its energy suppliers. Energy Saving Guru is a TPI. We are not a supplier, and we do not supply energy ourselves.
How we work with you
- We explain clearly who we are and that we are a broker, not a supplier.
- We give you the information you need to make a decision — contract length, rates, charges and end dates — in plain English.
- We never use pressure selling, and we never sign anything on your behalf.
- We tell you how we are paid before you commit to anything. See our supplier and partner disclosure.
- We answer questions about a contract we arranged for as long as it runs.
What we will not do
- Claim to be an independent price comparison of the whole market.
- Hide a commission or an uplift inside a rate without telling you.
- Sell your details to anyone.
If something goes wrong
Tell us. Our complaints procedure sets out how we handle it and how long we take. Where a complaint concerns your supplier rather than us, we will help you raise it with them.
Industry codes
Industry code membership and any accreditations we hold will be listed here once confirmed. We will not claim membership of a scheme we are not part of.
